李庆孝教授 (Professor Qing X. Li) 简介:
1982.2-1985.12 山东农业大学植保系任教。1986.1-1991.6在加利福尼亚大学戴维斯分校昆虫与环境毒理系做化学专业博士后研究并任助研。1990年在加利福尼亚大学戴维斯分校获得农业与环境化学专业博士学位。1991.7-1995.1在加利福尼亚大学伯克利分校环境科学、政策和管理系做助理专家和化学专业博士后研究。1995.2-1999.6夏威夷大学分子Manoa分校环境生物化学系助理教授。1999.7-2002，夏威夷大学Manoa分校生物科学和生物系统工程系副教授。2002年转正教授。

主要研究方向：环境生物化学和生物技术。在环境生物化学与生物技术领域，包括微生物蛋白质组学、环境污染物分析、生物修复、小分子免疫化学分析等方面取得了突出成就。主持了50余项来自美国能源部、农业部、环保总署、国防部、内政部及夏威夷州政府及私人基金的科研项目。自1995年以来，科研经费超过1200万美元；指导博士后、博士生、访问学者、研究员、硕士生等130人；发表SCI期刊论文170余篇。美国中小企业技术创新计划、环境保护署自然科学计划项目、国务院科学中心计划项目、农业部土壤生物学计划项目等项目计划的专门评审员，《Research Journal of BioTechnology》、《Journal of Bioengineering & Biomedical Science》等SCI期刊的编辑，34种SCI期刊的专门评审员。

内容简介：

Many college students dream to pursue their graduate studies in the U.S. This talk will address two questions. One is why pursue graduate studies in the U.S., while the other is how to apply for graduate schools in the U.S. Discussions also include entrance requirements, how to find financial assistance, how to find a suitable professor and graduate program, how to communicate with professors, resume preparation, personal statement, and visa interview.

The USA dominates international politics, economy, scientific discovery and invention. Some people immigrate to the USA for American dreams, while some pursue their advanced education in the USA. This talk will provide general information of family income, family expense, living standard, and education in the USA, and specific information about the undergraduate and graduate studies in the USA.
